Free Knit Pattern: Tempesta Pullover

Tempesta is a beautiful flirty pullover from the lovely Kristin Omdahl and the pattern is available on her website in sizes small through 2X. Kristin has used her own yarn line with Be So Sporty which can be purchased on the same website. A portion of the proceeds on her yarn is donated to Project Kristin Cares.

Tempesta starts at the lower hem and is worked in the round. Notice how the garment flows over the hips with a cute little flounce. There is a little more ease built into the lower portion of the garment to give it that attractive look. You’ll work in the round on circular needles in stockinette until you get to the armholes, so this project will be fabulous for some movie night knitting!

Once you reach the armholes, you’ll start working the decreases for the armholes and the neckline cutouts. So clever! You’ll simply be binding off and casting on across the cutouts. I’ve never seen a neckline like this and I look forward to trying it out soon. Once the front and back are made, you pick up stitches on the armhole and work down.

I know this isn’t a completely seamless project, but I promise you that the seaming is almost non-existent. You literally seam only the shoulders and the lower cuff of the sleeves. It’s so little seaming that you won’t even remember it!
